GIS is a powerful technology that has quietly changed the way people view and live in their neighbourhoods, towns and cities. ESRI, the world leader in GIS, has been helping people to solve real world problems through its GIS solutions for decades. However many people remain unaware of GIS and its impact — an impact that is as far ranging as it is useful — despite GIS having grown immensely in the last 15 years, despite hundreds of thousands of people now using the technology, and despite it affecting the daily lives of millions.

GIS is utilised non-stop 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

GIS 24/7The EMEA UC 2008 takes place over 3 days and will provide a unique forum for GIS discussion morning, noon and night.

The EMEA UC 2008 will take place from Tuesday 28 October to Thursday 30 October 2008, and will reflect ESRI (UK)’s vision for the future where GIS solutions will play an increasingly vital role on an everyday basis in a myriad of different ways.
