Education and Esri UK

At Esri UK we understand the increasingly important role GIS has to play in education. GIS allows students of all ages to learn about their world in new and captivating ways and, at the same time, acquire valuable skills they can transfer to the workplace.
We have two specially tailored and integrated programmes to help secondary schools, colleges and universities introduce and get the most from GIS.
GIS for Schools
Secondary schools can choose between DigitalWorlds (an entry-level GIS) or ArcView (a more advanced GIS, widely used in higher education). Both come with comprehensive maps and data, as well as access to training materials and lesson plans in our online resource centre.

GIS for Further and Higher Education
Currently over 80% of universities in the UK and Ireland have access to Esri software through our Eduserv CHEST agreement. We want to help you maximise that agreement, support your teaching and research with additional resources and equip the next generation with GIS skills which are required for the modern workplace.
