QEII Conference Centre, London

The EMEA Education Conference will provide a forum for educators from across all areas of education and at all levels of GIS expertise, to come together, learn about, discuss and use GIS.

The EMEA EdUC is 26-28 October, 2008. It includes GIS education keynote and paper presentations, hands-on workshops, peer discussions, and the opening day of the 2008 EMEA User Conference (UC). Participation in this portion of the UC provides EdUC attendees' opportunities to learn about the latest developments in ESRI GIS technology, hear compelling keynote and user stories, explore exhibits and the map gallery, and directly interact with GIS users in many professions.

The conference is aimed at building an education community amongst GIS users and will be an ideal opportunity to network and learn with your peers.  Sessions will run over two days, Sunday 26th and Monday 27th October 2008 and will consist of a combination of hands on workshops, presentation based sessions and opportunities to network with other delegates.  Delegates at the Education conference are also invited to attend the EMEA plenary sessions on Tuesday 28th October as part of their delegate pass.

The conference agenda will be made up of a combination of technical presentations by educators, ESRI (UK) and Inc staff and user presentations from external submission.

This mixed agenda will allow you to hear, first hand, about how GIS technology is already being used to enhance learning and provide solutions within the Education arena.  The technical sessions will help delegates ensure they are maximizing their use of GIS and increase their understanding of the more innovative applications.  There will also be opportunities to explore and learn, hands on, how best to use GIS software in a range of different Education environments.

Delegates at the EMEA Education Conference will be eligible for CPD points.
